About us
In 2005 a group of local people thought that there was
a need in the community to share the passion of older cars and vehicles, so
they formed a club now named the Bass Coast Historical Automobile Club, they
would meet at the Archies Creek hall.
As the Club grew it was moved to the RSL Club hall in
Wonthaggi and then to Wonthaggi Workmen’s Club where it is still currently
holding it's meeting.
The Club provides a venue for people who have a
passion for historical and classic vehicles, including motor bikes, tractors,
trucks and stationary engines.
It also provides a venue for social gatherings, club
show and shine events, so members are able to display their vehicles and drive
events that enables members to take their vehicles for a run.
The Club is also VicRoads accredited for issuing Club
Permit Scheme Registrations.
The Bass Coast Historical Automobile Club holds a
Monthly General meeting open to all Club members on the first Tuesday of each
month at 7.30pm in the Wonthaggi Workmen’s Club except for January.
At the meetings members are updated on new regulations, Club events, Reports and general discussions with sometimes guest speakers when available. This is then followed up with a raffle and supper giving members a chance to catch up and discuss projects that they may be working on.
Visitors are most welcome to join us.
New members are always welcome to join, you do not
have to have a vehicle to become a member, just enthusiasm and passion for
older vehicles.
